Amsterdam Fashion Week: Erny Van Reijmersdal

This show was definitely the marmite of the Amsterdam Fashion Week (well the bits of it that I got to see anyway). Erny's autumn-winter collection made no mistake about the season, with the heavy presence of fur. If it could be skinned then it was! Not sure how Peta would feel.
The street style on the day hinted at Erny's fur love, with all the fur coming out to play, but originally I made nothing of the theme - and just assumed, the weather was slated to be horrid or maybe I'd just missed that on my first day - blinded by excitement.

With Peta on the loose, everyone is going faux! Well not Erny, if the claws of the animal could be kept on, they probably were.
The show was focused on an older audience, with the theme being pirate (slash Victorian) based. It was eccentric, not in our modern Lady GaGa way of I'm crazy. The shows didn't suit many tastes but there're a few trends we could take away from it. The fur isn't going anywhere yet. So grab your faux fur coa
This show was the first one that had shown any form of a hierarchy system in Amsterdam (very unlike London), the cream of the crop were out in full force.
